Emily Holder is joining the Dan River Autism Awareness 5k’s planning team as the Outreach and Fundraising Director. In her new role, Emily will support the team captains to meet their fundraising goals, increase the capacity of the race by expanding our corporate sponsorships, and implement creative strategies to raise autism awareness throughout the community.
Emily recently moved to Danville to complete a service year with the Dan River Year program through the Danville Regional Foundation. She is currently working part-time with the Dan River Partnership for a Healthy Community where she promotes healthy initiatives through marketing and communications. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Nonprofit Studies from NC State University in 2012, Emily lived and worked in Raleigh, North Carolina developing her nonprofit management skills.
With her experience and passion for community engagement, Emily will be an integral part of making this year’s race a success. She is excited to meet and work with the children and families that drive this cause.
Please join me in welcoming Emily to our planning team!
